Tufts COHERE

Tufts Community Health Workers Engaging in Integrated Care (COHERE) is a program to train Tufts’ neighboring BIPOC community members to become community health workers (CHWs) to support community capacity building and health systems strengthening. The overall mission for Tufts COHERE is to increase the diversity of community members that become CHWs to promote health equity and improve health care access in underserved communities. Our commitment is to improve the racial, ethnic, and linguistic representation of the health care workforce in our neighborhoods.

As one of the co-founders of Tufts COHERE, we are supporting health systems strengthening efforts to address health disparities, especially in linguistically diverse contexts, as well as BIPOC communities.

This project is funded by HRSA.
